If you receive government insurance, you may be able to get help with your out-of-pocket drug costs through an independent co-pay foundation.

Your NUPLAZIDconnect team can inform you of independent foundations that you may qualify for.

If you are a patient with commercial insurance that covers NUPLAZID® (pimavanserin) with a co-pay or co-insurance, you can get NUPLAZID for $0, no matter what your income may be.

CO-INSURANCE:
The percentage of a drug cost that you pay. Your insurance company pays the rest.

CO-PAY:
A fixed dollar amount you pay for a drug. Your insurance company pays the rest.

COMMERCIAL INSURANCE:
This is health insurance you get through your work or a healthcare exchange. It’s also known as private insurance. Examples of private insurance companies include Aetna® and Cigna®.

DEDUCTIBLE:
The amount you pay for healthcare services before your insurance company begins to pay.

MEDICARE:
A government health plan for people aged 65 and older and/or people who are disabled.

MEDICARE PART D:
The part of Medicare that covers prescription medication.

OUT-OF-POCKET DRUG COSTS:
Drug costs that are not covered by your insurance company.

SPECIALTY PHARMACY:
Companies that deliver drugs directly to your home and offer services to help you stay on your medications.

UNINSURED:
A person who does not have any insurance coverage.

UNDERINSURED:
A person who has insurance, but NUPLAZID® (pimavanserin) is not covered.

VA/DoD:
The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) offer health plans for people who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
